A Joyful Journey...

Join Doris Smeltzer, critically acclaimed author/educator, as she muses on topics from eating disorders to the mysteries of life. Often "Featured" are select, astute observations made by Andrea during her all too brief 19-year life…it is she who taught us: the joy IS in the journey!

Nov 4th: The only 2017 public "Be Body Positive" workshop

First, my sincere thanks to those who attended our July 15th event--thanks to YOU it was a resounding success!

Second, our dear friend and Board Member, Connie Sobczak, is offering on Nov 4th a public BE BODY POSITIVE WORKSHOP.

Connie Sobczak

Having previously attended one of these private offerings, I highly recommend it for those who seek a beautiful, personal transformation in their relationship with self. As Connie explains, "You will enter a safe, inspirational space where deep healing will take place..."

In my workshops and through my book, Embody: Learning to Love Your Unique Body (and quiet that critical voice!), people join a community where judgment is suspended and there is no need to compare one's self to others. I offer a clear mirror in which people can see their true reflection and connect to essence and life force. Each person’s story is heard and honored—it’s a come-as-you-are party! No need to “fix” or change anything to be received with respect and love.

I see the magnificence of the individuals I work with, and do my best to help them remove the obstacles that keep them from seeing the same.

I co-founded The Body Positive in 1996, and it has been an honor to participate in the lives of thousands of people as they liberate themselves from self-hatred, and learn to value their beauty and identity so they can use their energy and intellect to make positive changes in their own lives and in the world.

Facilitating intimate workshops is one of my absolute favorite parts of my job. I love the soulful connections that form, and witnessing the unique story of every individual I meet.

I know that Connie is looking forward to meeting and hearing your story on November 4th!

With blessings until next time,

Doris
