Leigh Cohn
is the Publisher of Gürze Books, a company which
has specialized in eating disorders education and
publications since 1980, when he and his wife, Lindsey
Hall, wrote the first book on bulimia. He has coauthored
many books on eating disorders and is the Editor-in-Chief
of Eating Disorders: The Journal
of Treatment and Prevention. For over twenty-five years, he has spoken
at many colleges and universities, hospitals, community
groups and professional conferences. He received
an Honorary Certified Eating Disorders Specialist
designation from the International Association of
Eating Disorder Professionals in 2007, and he and
Lindsey were given an Award for Service in 2005 by
the Eating Disorders Coalition in Washington, D.C.
Leigh will enlighten us with his perspective on male
body image issues.

Birsinger is a Registered Dietitian with a Master's

heroes" who work to make our world a better

Psychological Association's Government Relations
Office. In this role, she is responsible for federal
policy efforts addressing eating disorders and related
issues. As a policy analyst and advocate, Ms. Smith
is committed to raising awareness of eating disorders
and challenging stereotypes surrounding weight and
health. She currently serves as a Board Member for
the Andrea's Voice Foundation and on the Advisory
Council of Ophelia's Place. Ms. Smith recently co-authored
the groundbreaking article, "The Risks of a Quick
Fix: A Case against Mandatory Body Mass Index Reporting
Laws," with Dr. Jeanine Cogan and Dr. Margo Maine.
